Description: On 10th of June we were informed about the Mango Seed Collection Drive by our Coordinator which was conducted by 'Care of the Earth Mission' by Loreto South Asia. For the very first time we were asked to donate seeds. It was something extraordinary. We were asked to eat the mango then wash, clean and dry it. We had to bring it to school in a cardboard box to donate them . Contributions by students began from the very first day. I, being a part of the Nature Club, was kept in charge by my class teacher to collect the seeds from all classes in both the Junior and the Senior Section. It was delightful to see the generosity of the students as they contributed happily. By the end of this drive we started donating more and more. The total number of seeds contributed by our school was 1,889. They were then packed and sent to Loreto House. As climate change is a pressing global concern so the main aim of this drive was to take care of Mother Earth. It is our home and we as the future generation should learn to nurture nature. “We are the first generation to feel the impact of climate change and the last generation that can do something about it.” — Barack Obama. ?
