Description:
On the 20th of May,the students of Loreto Elliot Road,along with our Sr.School Coordinator Mrs.N.Bhattacharjee were invited to the LORETOCAST podcast conducted by Alice Keane,a student from Loreto Secondary School, Letterkenney,Ireland.She told us about what inspired her to start these podcast episodes—it was because Loreto schools in Ireland are marking 200 years of existence in education this year.
From 11am,IST, this interaction continued till about noon .
We discussed various topics including the weather,our future ambitions,what we learn from our school as an individual and most importantly our school’s history and origin.
We also talked about the social service programmes and activities we do in our school.
Our flashback memories from the COVID -19 era and our views on the concept of online classes were discussed.
Talking to a Loreto student from abroad helped us perceive that no matter which country it is,what binds all the Loreto schools together is the spirit of hardwork,dedication,compassion and humility.This session was full of fun and it helped us to know more about our schools!
Clara Thapa, Insha Fatima and myself felt immensely proud when our first Covid Vaccination programme was appreciated. Alice was also impressed when she heard about the cooked meals that were provided for the Covid patients during the second wave of the Covid. She showed a keen interest to know that the school supported the Lodha Community by providing them with essentials.
I am really glad that I got an opportunity to be a part of this podcast.
